The final painting of annarankin, who didn’t have a large hat so I improvised. Enjoy your new life as a leaf spirit, Anna!
tipsy collaboration with this cool artist and this other cool artist of our characters in the Are You Afraid of the Dark board game. This was mine, the brain child of sarah and myself, she had the highest stats at the beginning aw yea.
Post trivia night at New Heights Grill where Team Sea Slug came in fourth!!! Also we were in second for a round of scoring! Best week yet! All thanks to our honorary (maybe regular????) new member that night, this cool artist
Awww man! Kelsey works fast! :) But Kiara the ranger halfling came out so cute (don’t let that fool you! she’s the most competent of the lot). I’m working on my own version of these characters (along with the other members of team sea slug!) so keep your eye out for all of them.
playing lots of zelda + finding my koi watercolors = a rainbow of characters. yay.
I actually liked how a few of them turned out, and may try to find the time to finalize the designs better.
Happy 4th everyone!!!!!
Patriotism! Fire works! Hot dogs! Freedom!
In honor of all that I wanted to drop a sneak peak of one of my paintings for WINNING (a film that explores the competitive experiences of four generations of black fencers along the Olympic path).
Also I wanted to post some exciting news!
Last week’s shoot was exciting! The young Peter Westbrook Foundation team showed a lot of heart in Columbus, Ohio at the US Summer National Championships. Also shot that weekend, Keeth Smart, Erinn Smart, and Ivan Lee were inducted into the US Fencing Hall of Fame.
Follow along for all future updates and support these amazing athletes at our kickstarter: WINNING Fencing Documentary.
thanks y’all for the likes and follows! i’m pumped to join the temeraire fandom!
thanks to csagady gifting me a copy of his majesty’s dragon i’ve become hooked to the temeraire world! i couldn’t help but paint laurence and temeraire.
i decided to forgo any reference in favor of sticking as closely to my personal visuals of the characters.
birthday fanarts for my dear friend!
selkie stiles, because yeah, dude looks like a seal.
six pages, three spreads, or some portfolio pieces i’m glad to have finished in time for SCBWI’s 2014 winter conference! for those with an astute memory, you may notice that i redid the first page. i’m much happier with this second version. :>
after keeping a journal this past half year, i’ve discovered i write a lot about food. meals i ate, meals i want to eat.
i’ve also discovered that all my fondest memories are directly tied to food. so i’ve resolved (in 2014) to be more accepting of the food baby gestating in my pudgy belly because it means that i’ve been accumulating a lot of good memories. :>
